Information We Collect

Account Information: Email address or data from Google/Apple logins.
Profile Data: Information you choose to upload, including your profile picture, which may be accessed via your device's camera or photo gallery (with your explicit permission).​

Device information, app usage statistics, interaction logs, and analytics data.


Portfolio and Trading Data

Details of your simulated trading activity and portfolio composition.

Ad-Related Data

Advertising with AdMob

​

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and process certain information about your device and interactions to serve relevant ads. If you prefer not to see personalized ads, you can manage your ad preferences through your device or by visiting Google's Ad Settings.​

Use of AI services

To enhance your experience and provide educational insights into your virtual portfolio, Stockey uses artificial intelligence (AI) services provided by OpenAI.

 

When you choose to use features powered by AI, limited portfolio data (such as your virtual stock holdings and simulated trades) may be securely transmitted to OpenAI's servers for processing. This data is used solely for the purpose of generating educational content and is not shared or sold to other third parties.

Stockey ensures that:

  • Only the minimum necessary data is sent to OpenAI.

  • All data is processed in accordance with OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.

  • Responses generated by the AI are stored within your profile so you may view your history.

You may opt out of using AI-powered features by not interacting with those specific tools.

Use of YouTube API Service

​

Stockey uses the YouTube Data API Services to display educational and market-related videos within the App. By using features that access or display YouTube content, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

The App does not access, store, or share personal user data from YouTube accounts. All video data used in the App is publicly available metadata, and no integration with users’ YouTube or Google accounts occurs beyond login authentication.

Login with Google is used solely for authentication purposes and does not grant Stockey access to your YouTube account or its content.

​

Third-Party Integrations (Brokerage Accounts for Paper Trading)

 

Stockey offers optional integration with third-party brokerage service providers to enhance your paper trading experience. If you choose to connect your brokerage account, the connection and data exchange occur directly between you and that provider through their official API.

For example, users may connect their account from a U.S.-based brokerage platform that provides an API for account data access and paper-trading functionality. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by that provider, and the integration is offered solely for your convenience.

When you choose to connect such an account, limited information (such as portfolio and trade data) may be securely transmitted between your device and the provider’s servers in accordance with that provider’s own terms and privacy policy. When you authorise this connection, Stockey securely stores authentication tokens (OAuth credentials) provided by the brokerage platform. These tokens are encrypted, used only to maintain your authorised connection, and can be revoked or deleted at any time by disconnecting your account. Stockey never stores or has access to your brokerage login password.

In-App Purchases and RevenueCat

​

Our app uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes certain information provided by Apple or Google (such as your transaction receipt, device identifier, and region) in order to validate and manage your entitlements.

We do not receive or store your full payment information (such as credit card numbers). RevenueCat only stores data necessary to confirm your purchase and maintain your access to premium features.

Access to Device Features

​

If you choose to upload a profile picture, the App will request access to your device's camera or photo gallery. This access is optional and will only occur with your explicit consent. You can manage these permissions via your device settings.

Overseas Data Storage

​

Your data may be stored and processed outside of Australia, including in Firestore's data centers. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains secure and compliant with the Privacy Act 1988.

Your Rights in Australia

​

Access: Access your personal data.

Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information.

Opt-out: Opt out of personalised advertising via Google AdMob.

Complaints: Lodge a complaint if you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles.

Requesting data deletion

 

If you would like to delete your account and associated data, please email us at support@stockey.com.au with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Make sure to contact us from the email address linked to your account. You can also do it directly within the app through the profile section and select "Delete Account".

Updates to This Privacy Policy

​

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be communicated through the App or via email.
